The Saint Marie Island or Nosy Boraha, stretches along the east coast of Madagascar. It is a real small “Tropical Paradise” and is only 60 km in length.

From July to September, Sainte Marie becomes a meeting place for the Humpback Whale, which comes to mate and give birth in these warm waters, after a long migration of several thousand kilometres, a trying journey which last for several months. These giants of the oceans become the main attraction of the island. With there spectacular jumps, visible from the beaches and the villages, they have a magical effect on the every day life of Saint –Marie. This exceptional scene, a rare beauty, is a delight not to be missed.
